Regina Daniels Accuses Ned Nwoko of Exploiting Her Drug Struggles

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly responded to serious allegations levied by her estranged partner, Senator Ned Nwoko. In a statement shared on her Instagram stories on November 9, 2025, Daniels accused Nwoko of using her personal issues to manipulate public opinion. She denied his claims that her family and friends sabotaged her rehabilitation efforts and introduced her to illegal substances.

In a series of posts, Daniels expressed her dismay at Nwoko’s accusations. “Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this,” she stated. She emphasized that Nwoko has consistently attempted to isolate her from her loved ones, stating, “You have always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share.”

While Daniels acknowledged her history with drug use, she asserted that this was not the fundamental issue in their relationship. “Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us?” she questioned. She accused Nwoko of exploiting her struggles to garner media attention following their disputes. “The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media,” she added.

In her posts, Daniels accused Nwoko of coercive behavior, suggesting that he manipulated her drug use for sexual purposes. “You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high,” she claimed. Furthermore, she described instances of physical and psychological abuse, alleging that he would lock her away and restrict her communication with her family.

Daniels made serious allegations regarding her treatment during their relationship, claiming that Nwoko coerced medical professionals to administer inappropriate medications. “You take my phones for weeks because you hate that I talk to my family a lot. Stop using the ‘drugs’ narrative to distract people,” she wrote, asserting her desire to clear her name.

The actress also addressed the legitimacy of their relationship, asserting that they were never legally married. “For the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us,” she declared. “We were never married in any court of law. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you.”

Daniels concluded her message by expressing her determination to rise above the public scrutiny she faces. “I just feel so ashamed that all these had to come out in the messiest way,” she reflected, indicating her desire to regain control over her narrative.
