On March 4, 2024, Monty posted a picture on Instagram showing filming equipment set up in his garden, where the show is filmed. He wrote, “First day filming in the garden for new GW series. Only another 50 odd to go!” He confirmed that the first episode will air on March 13, 2024. This announcement has sparked a wave of enthusiasm among the show’s dedicated audience.

A Look Back and Forward
“The best show on TV, wish they would run it every week all year round!”
The long-running series first aired in 1968 and has become a staple for gardening enthusiasts. Alongside Monty, the show features regular presenters such as Adam Frost, Frances Tophill, Joe Swift, Arit Anderson, Advolly Richmond, Nick Bailey, Carol Klein, Mark Lane, and Rachel de Thame.
Prior to this announcement, Monty had briefly paused the program last month to caution viewers about gardening practices as spring approached. He shared insights on the cultivation of this vegetable, which he has grown for over 36 years, and also discussed the risks associated with rhubarb leaves.
Throughout the segment, Monty’s golden retriever, Ned, made a charming appearance, adding a personal touch to the gardening tips.
“I’ve been counting down the days. So glad you’re back.”
As anticipation builds for the new season, fans can look forward to the first episode of Gardeners’ World on March 13 and can stream previous episodes on BBC iPlayer. With spring just around the corner, the return of this beloved program signals the onset of a new gardening season, bringing joy and inspiration to enthusiasts across the globe.
