The 33-year-old was shot multiple times outside her residence in Texas Square, East Ruimveldt on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at approximately 23:35 local time.

According to a statement from the Guyana Police Force (GPF), Callender has sustained serious injuries, including gunshot wounds to her neck, face, hands, and right leg. She is currently receiving treatment at Georgetown Public Hospital.

Witness accounts indicate that Lola Doll’s brother was present during the shooting. He described the scene, stating, “I was inside at home when I hear gunshots and run out to see was what, only to see me sister lying in she car and blood, if you see blood, pouring out.” He emphasized the severity of her injuries, noting, “She lost a lot of blood but she is a fighter.”

The police have confirmed that an individual has been arrested in connection with the shooting and is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation. Security footage has surfaced, reportedly showing a lone gunman approaching Callender’s white Mercedes-Benz before opening fire.
