The highly anticipated Novski derby will highlight the opening of the seventh round of the EPCG Superleague for women’s volleyball this evening. This match, featuring the reigning champions and unbeaten team, Herceg Novi, against Albatros, takes place at the Sports Centre “Igalo.” Albatros, who has recorded just one loss in six matches, aims to challenge the dominance of the league leaders.

In addition to the opening derby, two other matches will occur on Saturday. Budva will host Moraca at 19:00, aiming to build on their recent victory against Mediteran, which ended a streak of three consecutive losses. Budva currently holds a record of 1-5, having faced tough opponents from the top tier of the league.

Just half an hour later, at the same location in Budva, Mediteran will play against Luka Bar. Luka Bar has had an impressive season, suffering only a narrow defeat to Herceg Novi in five sets and conceding just one set to Buducnost. After a series of three defeats following previous wins against Jedinstvo and Rudar, Mediteran is looking to regain momentum.

In the final match of the Saturday lineup, Jedinstvo will face Rudar in a critical clash at the bottom of the standings. Rudar remains the only team without a victory, while Jedinstvo stands at 1-4, excluding an unplayed match against Budva.

The action continues on Sunday, with Buducnost set to visit Gimnazijalac. Buducnost, fresh off their European competition match against Spanish side Aro Rioja in the first round of the Challenge Cup, has recovered from two derby losses against Herceg Novi and Luka Bar. They have since recorded three consecutive victories in the championship, while Gimnazijalac has achieved two wins from their six matches.

The matchups for the seventh round are as follows:
– Today: Albatros vs. Herceg Novi (19:00)
– Tomorrow: Budva vs. Moraca (19:00), Mediteran vs. Luka Bar (19:30), Jedinstvo vs. Rudar (20:00)
– Sunday: Gimnazijalac vs. Buducnost Volej (19:00)

As the competition heats up, the performances in these matches will significantly impact the standings in the EPCG Superleague, making this weekend a pivotal moment for many teams involved.
