Home Bargains Expands with 18 New Stores Across the UK
Home Bargains, a prominent UK retailer, has announced the opening of 18 new stores, bringing its total to 1,000 outlets. This expansion comes after a successful year, with the company reporting a significant increase in profits and turnover. For the financial year ending June 30, 2025, Home Bargains experienced a sales surge from £4.2 billion to £4.54 billion, representing a 7.9% growth.
The company attributes this revenue increase to the launch of additional stores and relocations that have improved accessibility for customers. Furthermore, existing locations have outperformed previous years, showcasing the retailer’s strong market presence. Operating profit also rose, climbing from £434 million to £492 million during the same period.
Strategic Growth Plans Ahead
Reflecting on the company’s achievements, Home Bargains expressed gratitude to its customers and suppliers. “From opening 18 new stores to recognising achievements at our Store Managers Conference, it’s been a year of big milestones across the business,” the company stated in a recent communication. Looking ahead, Home Bargains plans to continue its expansion, with a target of operating between 800 and 1,000 stores by 2026.
The retailer also revealed plans for significant infrastructure upgrades through a partnership with Evolve Business Group. This collaboration aims to implement a ‘fully managed network solution’ across its UK stores, enhancing security and operational efficiency. Evolve will introduce managed connectivity and secure payment systems to over 650 stores, with 50 locations already engaged in the new initiative.
Tony Mullen, Head of IT Infrastructure and Services at Home Bargains, commented on the partnership, stating, “The partnership with Evolve has simplified our infrastructure and improved resilience, offering value without compromising on service or quality. These upgrades will support our continued expansion as we grow towards 1,000 stores nationwide.”
Alan Stephenson-Brown, CEO of Evolve Business Group, also highlighted the significance of this collaboration. “Home Bargains is a major British retailer with exceptional growth ambitions. We’re proud to deliver a secure, reliable, and future-proof network that supports its success and enhances the customer experience,” he noted.
The retailer’s future plans include the development of the Doncaster Distribution Centre, which is expected to further bolster its operational capabilities as it marks 50 years of Home Bargains in 2026. With its ongoing commitment to growth and customer service, Home Bargains is poised to solidify its position in the competitive retail landscape across the UK.
