In a statement, Pat Goulbourne, Assistant Commissioner for the London Fire Brigade, confirmed the details of the incident. “Six crew members were involved in the collision and were taken to hospital for checks by the London Ambulance Service,” he said. He added that both fire engines were dispatched to an incident in Islington, which has since been resolved.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are currently under investigation by both the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service. Authorities are working to determine the precise details leading up to the crash.
