Primorje 1945 and Podgorica Bemax are set to compete in the third round of the ABA2 League, with both teams seeking crucial victories. While Primorje looks to secure its second win, Podgorica is eager to claim its first triumph in this regional competition.

Primorje will play its second consecutive home game after achieving a historic victory against Radnički from Kragujevac last week, winning 96-76. The match will take place at 18:00 local time, where they will face Široki. Both teams currently hold a balanced record after two rounds in the ABA2 League. Primorje initially lost to Vojvodina, while Široki suffered a defeat at home to Sutjeska but managed to secure a win against Vršac.

Coach Pavle Roganović expressed confidence ahead of the match against Široki, stating, “After an excellent game against Radnički last Wednesday, we have entered a good rhythm and are eagerly awaiting the Široki team. We know a lot about our opponents, who have three excellent American players. The key players bring significant experience from the ABA League. I hope for the energy we displayed against Kragujevčana, along with the support from the stands, which is crucial for the team. Another win in the ABA2 League would be an extraordinary success. We have the right to hope for a good outcome.”

Before facing Široki, Primorje achieved victory over Dečić in the domestic league, scoring 97-88, marking their fourth consecutive win in that competition.

Nikola Rakočević, a forward for Primorje, acknowledged the challenge ahead, saying, “We are aware of the quality of the Široki team. We are entering the game highly motivated, eager to demonstrate our capabilities and fight for every point and every possession. While Široki may have a slight advantage in quality and experience, we believe in our work, unity, and the energy we bring. Our goal is to give our all, play bravely, and show the true face of Primorje.”

In a separate match, Podgorica Bemax will take on Jahorina at 16:00 local time. Coming off a loss to Mornar, where they were defeated 91-77, Podgorica is looking to turn its fortunes around. In the first two rounds of the ABA2 League, Podgorica lost to Borac and Sloboda. However, the team managed to secure a victory against Mornar, giving them a 1-1 record in the competition.

Coach Miodrag Kadija acknowledged the challenge posed by Jahorina, stating, “We are aware that Jahorina has a quality roster and significant ambitions, making them the favorites in this match. Nonetheless, we will strive to make the best impression possible. Our youth could be an asset as we aim to pull off an upset.”

After achieving their first victory of the season against Danilovgrad last weekend, Podgorica enters the match against Jahorina with improved morale.

Forward Milorad Brajović emphasized the difficulties ahead, stating, “We are facing a very challenging match. Jahorina has a solid team and is particularly strong on its home court. They have shown their quality by defeating Mornar, but we want to respond and signal better performances moving forward.”

As both teams prepare for their respective matches, the upcoming games promise to be pivotal in shaping their seasons in the ABA2 League.
