Margot Robbie Dazzles in Elizabeth Taylor’s Necklace at Premiere
Margot Robbie captivated attendees at the Los Angeles premiere of *Wuthering Heights* on January 28, 2026, showcasing an iconic necklace once owned by Elizabeth Taylor. The Oscar nominee, 35, plays Catherine Earnshaw in this much-anticipated adaptation directed by Emerald Fennell. Robbie was joined on the red carpet by her co-star Jacob Elordi, who portrays Heathcliff.
The premiere took place at the TCL Chinese Theatre, where Robbie stood out in a stunning couture gown designed by Schiaparelli. While the dress featured a dramatic mermaid silhouette with a strapless nude illusion bodice adorned with black lace, it was the breathtaking heart-shaped Taj Mahal diamond necklace that truly captured the spotlight. This vintage piece, valued at approximately $8 million, was originally gifted to Taylor by her fifth husband, Richard Burton, for her 40th birthday, making it one of the most recognized items in her illustrious jewelry collection.
Robbie styled the necklace high on her neck, allowing the gold chain to cascade down her back. The gown’s black velvet skirt transitioned into a deep red hue, echoing the film’s dark themes. Completing her look, Robbie’s hair was elegantly arranged in a romantic bun, with soft curls framing her face. Her makeup was subtle, featuring a gentle rosy-nude lip and a light wash of brown on her eyelids.
After posing for solo shots, Robbie joined Elordi on the red carpet. Their chemistry was palpable, and the pair drew attention as they held hands, sparking excitement among fans. Despite this connection, both actors are currently in committed relationships. Robbie has been married to film producer Tom Ackerley since 2016, and they co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment, sharing one child together. Elordi, on the other hand, has been involved with Olivia Jade Giannulli since 2021, although their relationship has seen ups and downs.
Earlier in the week, Robbie made headlines for gifting Elordi a matching signet ring. The rings, which depict two skeletons embracing, bear the inscription, “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same,” along with the initials of their characters, Cathy and Heathcliff. The engraving also includes “1847-2026,” marking the years associated with Emily Brontë’s original novel and the new film.
As the event unfolded, both Robbie and Elordi were seen gazing into each other’s eyes, enhancing the sense of connection that has captivated audiences. The premiere not only marked a significant moment for the film but also highlighted the enduring glamour of classic Hollywood through Robbie’s homage to Elizabeth Taylor.
