Former WWE Host Calls for Donald Trump’s Removal from Hall of Fame
Former WWE host Kayla Becker has publicly called for the removal of Donald Trump from the WWE Hall of Fame. In a video posted to Instagram on February 19, 2024, Becker expressed her belief that the organization should formally revoke Trump’s induction, citing her own experiences with political expression during her tenure with the company.
Becker’s Controversial Experiences at WWE
During her time at WWE, Becker, known as Kayla Braxton, faced backlash for sharing her political views online. She stated that her comments often led to disciplinary actions, which she described as “trouble” within the organization. In her video message, Becker highlighted the disparity between her experiences and the continued recognition of Trump, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013.
“Going back to me working at WWE, I would get in trouble when I posted political things because every once in a while, I’d get riled up,” Becker noted. She urged WWE to take a stand regarding Trump’s status, saying, “I think they should do a public revoking of his Hall of Fame status.”
A Call for Leadership from WWE
In her remarks, Becker emphasized the importance of WWE taking a decisive action. “I think that would be one of the coolest and most leadership things that they could do. Hey, Mr. Donald Trump, you are no longer in the WWE Hall of Fame,” she stated, calling for a public acknowledgment of the decision with a formal statement or celebration.
Becker’s comments have further fueled ongoing discussions about Trump’s association with WWE, a topic that has garnered attention from various figures in the wrestling community. Despite the renewed debate, WWE has not yet responded to Becker’s request, nor has there been any indication that Trump’s status is under reconsideration.
The conversation around Trump’s Hall of Fame induction remains a point of contention among fans and former talent alike. Becker’s call for action adds another voice to this evolving narrative, highlighting the complexities of public figures’ associations with entertainment brands.
As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how WWE will respond to these calls for change and whether it will take a definitive stance on Trump’s position in its Hall of Fame.
