Young Athletes Shine at VOLI ALL STAR GAME 2025 in Podgorica

The first day of the VOLI ALL STAR GAME 2025 showcased the impressive talents of young female basketball players in Montenegro, taking place at the Bemax Arena in Podgorica. Organized by the Basketball Association of Montenegro, this event highlights the skills and potential of girls in various age categories.

Participants were divided into two teams, named EKO and M:TEL, with a focus on showcasing talent rather than solely on the final score. Following the matches, outstanding players were recognized with awards in their respective age groups.

In the Mini Basketball category, Anja Pekanović from ŽKK BKM earned the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP). The award was presented by Marko Rajović, head coach of KK Sutomore. For the under-14 competition, Jana Backović of ŽKK Olymp received the MVP award, which was handed to her by Željko Vukičević, a former coach for Serbia and Montenegro’s youth teams.

In the under-16 category, Petra Sučević stood out as the MVP, with the award presented by basketball referee Tamara Raičević. Meanwhile, in the under-20 category, Sara Đukić from KK Podgorica was recognized as MVP, with the accolade presented by Smiljana Milatović, a former Yugoslav representative and assistant coach of ŽKK Budućnost.

The excitement continues on the second day of the VOLI ALL STAR GAME 2025, where young male athletes will display their skills in the same venue. This event not only promotes basketball in Montenegro but also inspires the next generation of athletes to pursue their passion for the sport.
