Journalist Calls for Jail Time for Doctor After Offensive Messages

Vladimir Peruničić, a doctor at the Clinical Centre of Montenegro (KCCG), faces potential jail time after admitting to sending offensive messages through social media. According to journalist Magdalena Čelanović from RTV Podgorica, this incident marks the third time Peruničić has been involved in similar allegations since 2024.

Čelanović reported that during questioning, Peruničić acknowledged his actions but claimed he did not recognize her as the recipient of the messages. “He started to falter and said he was in an intoxicated state. He admitted to everything he did but denied knowing who I am. It’s the same story as last time,” she stated in an interview with Pobjeda.

The prosecutor has requested the maximum penalty for Peruničić, which could result in a significant fine or incarceration. A decision is expected within the next 15 days. Čelanović emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating, “He is a repeat offender; this is his third incident. I hope he will end up in prison. He shows no remorse. This morning, he was aggressive towards police officers when they detained him and used derogatory language towards the officials at OB Podgorica.”

Čelanović further encouraged women who have received similar messages from Peruničić to come forward. “Many have reached out but are ashamed to report him. I urge all women to speak out,” she added.
