JD Vance Calls for Andrew’s Testimony on Epstein Scandal

JD Vance, the United States Vice President, has intensified calls for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify before Congress regarding his relationship with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Vance expressed his support for bipartisan efforts to summon the former prince, echoing recent statements from British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

Pressure Mounts for Testimony

During the interview, Vance noted, “I saw Keir Starmer said something about this. I’m certainly open to it.” He emphasized that the final decision on whether to summon Andrew lies with congressional Republicans, who will determine the relevance of his testimony in the ongoing bipartisan investigation into Epstein’s activities and the US government’s response. Vance stated, “I’ll let them determine whether they should talk to Prince Andrew. I’d certainly be open to it. But it’s their call, not mine.”

Recent documents released by the Justice Department have drawn attention to the connections between Andrew and Epstein, revealing what Vance described as an “incestuous nature to America’s elites.” Among the materials were photographs depicting Andrew in close proximity to a woman, as well as emails indicating his ongoing communication with Epstein, even after the financier’s conviction for child sex crimes in 2008.

Details of the Investigation

Vance claimed that the newly released files exonerate former President Donald Trump, who had social ties with Epstein from the late 1990s until the mid-2000s. Vance noted, “He never really was friendly with Epstein in a way that a lot of these other people were.” He took the opportunity to criticize other notable figures, including Bill Gates and Bill Clinton, highlighting their associations with Epstein.

Prime Minister Starmer reiterated the importance of accountability, stating, “Anybody who has got information should be prepared to share that information in whatever form they are asked to do that.” He stressed that without such cooperation, it is difficult to maintain a victim-centered approach.

Andrew, who has been seen in public without making comments on the matter, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. His previous legal troubles include a £12 million out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre in 2022, who alleged that Andrew had sexual encounters with her when she was 17 years old. Giuffre’s allegations included incidents at Ghislaine Maxwell‘s London townhouse, as well as in New York and on Epstein’s private island.

Following the publication of Giuffre’s memoir, scrutiny over Andrew’s ties to Epstein intensified, leading to King Charles stripping him of his ducal and princely titles in October 2022. While the US House lacks the authority to subpoena Andrew as a foreign national, the pressure for him to provide information continues to mount.

In previous communications, Andrew notably ignored an invitation for deposition from the US House Oversight Committee after a prior release of Epstein-related documents in November. These documents referenced financial dealings that included “massages for Andrew” and an email in which Andrew stated to Epstein, “We are in this together.” The latest batch of files reveals that Andrew maintained regular contact with Epstein long after the latter’s conviction, discussing potential business and social engagements.

The investigation into Epstein’s activities continues as the legal and political ramifications unfold. Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in 2019, with his death ruled a suicide while awaiting trial on multiple charges of sex trafficking. Andrew has yet to respond to recent developments regarding the released files and the ongoing calls for his testimony.
