Package from the U.S. Seized in Montenegro with 1.8 Kilograms of Marijuana

Authorities in Montenegro have intercepted a package from the United States containing nearly two kilograms of marijuana. The discovery was made by officials from the Post of Montenegro, who immediately informed the police about the contents of the shipment addressed to a resident of Zeta, identified as B.K..

Upon receiving the tip-off, law enforcement confirmed that the package contained 1.8 kilograms of marijuana, packaged in three plastic bags. The Customs Department conducted an inspection, leading to the identification of B.K., a 25-year-old individual from Zeta. Following this, the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office was notified, and a criminal complaint was filed against B.K. for the unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotic drugs.

Details of the Investigation

The investigation escalated as police executed a search warrant at B.K.’s residence. During the search, officers recovered a drum used for storing ammunition, a grinder with traces of plant material suspected to be marijuana, and a small quantity of the drug itself. Additionally, communication devices were seized for further investigation.

The police suspect that the marijuana was intended for street sale. The Higher State Prosecutor’s Office has been informed of these developments and has indicated that B.K.’s actions meet the elements of the offense related to drug production and distribution. Consequently, the case against him will proceed through the regular legal channels.
