Kotor Event Highlights Use of Lime Mortars in Architecture

The Cultural Centre “Nikola Đurković,” in collaboration with the non-governmental organization Expeditio and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, will present research and a publication titled “Application of Lime Mortars in Traditional Architecture of Boka Kotorska.”

The presentation is scheduled for 19:00 in the Multimedia Hall of the Cultural Centre. This event forms part of the European Heritage Days 2025, aimed at celebrating and promoting cultural heritage across Europe.

Katarina Lisavac and Aleksandra Kapetanović, both architects and conservators, will discuss the findings of the research and the importance of using lime mortars for preserving and restoring the traditional architecture of Boka Kotorska.
