Data Transmission Halted at Air Quality Station in Pljevlja

Data transmission from the air quality monitoring station at Gagović’s Estate in Pljevlja has been interrupted since December 10, 2023, at 13:00. The Agency for Environmental Protection announced this disruption, noting that it has impacted the flow of information regarding air quality in the region.

In response to the issue, specialists from the Center for Ecotoxicological Testing (CETI) promptly investigated the situation. They confirmed that all measuring equipment and instruments were functioning properly and that the power supply remained stable. The source of the problem was identified as a disruption in the internet connection, specifically insufficient signal strength that prevents the transmission of collected data to the central server.

Despite attempts to reset the data transmission system, the connection has not yet been restored. The agency reassured the public that all measurement data continues to be collected and securely stored in the station’s internal memory.

Once a stable internet connection is re-established, all stored data will be transmitted to the server and made accessible to the public. The Agency for Environmental Protection is actively working on resolving the internet issues with the provider to restore data transmission as quickly as possible.

This interruption highlights the importance of reliable internet infrastructure for environmental monitoring, as air quality data is crucial for public health and safety. The authorities are committed to ensuring transparency and timely access to air quality information for residents of Pljevlja and surrounding areas.
