Court Extends Detention of Stefanu Đolović Until January 2024

The Supreme Court of Montenegro has extended the detention of **Stefanu Đolović** for an additional three months, maintaining his custody until **January 1, 2024**. This decision follows credible suspicions of his involvement in the unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotics.

According to a ruling made by the Supreme Court, the extension was granted in response to a request from the **Higher State Prosecutor’s Office** in **Podgorica** on **November 26, 2023**. The court determined that sufficient evidence exists to suspect that Đolović committed the criminal offenses in question.

The ruling highlights that Đolović allegedly concealed approximately **300 grams of cocaine** in a hidden compartment within a **VW Polo** vehicle. The drugs were packaged in four separate portions, intended for further distribution. Law enforcement discovered the cocaine during a search operation.

In his defense, Đolović has reportedly acknowledged his involvement in the criminal act. The court noted that the continuation of his detention was deemed necessary due to the potential risk of flight.

Initially, Đolović’s detention was ordered on **September 2, 2023**, by a judge from the **Higher Court in Podgorica**. His detention was subsequently extended by the Criminal Council of the same court on **September 26, 2023**.

The Supreme Court’s latest decision underscores the seriousness of the allegations against Đolović and reflects the ongoing efforts of Montenegrin authorities to address narcotics-related offenses. With the new ruling, his custody is set to last until the beginning of the new year, allowing for further investigation into the case.
