Belton Community Festival Set to Return After Record Attendance
Belton Estate has announced that its popular community festival will return for a third consecutive year following a remarkable turnout in 2025. The festival is scheduled for September 5 and 6, 2026, and aims to once again provide free entry to visitors, in line with the National Trust‘s commitment to widening access to its properties.
Last year, the festival attracted an impressive 10,000 visitors over the two-day event, showcasing the local community’s vibrant culture and creativity. In preparation for this year’s festival, applications are now open for traders, community groups, and performers interested in participating. Interested parties can request an application form by emailing the festival’s organizing team.
Excitement for the Upcoming Festival
Laura Doherty, the community, participation and volunteering coordinator at Belton Estate, expressed her enthusiasm for the event’s return. “We’re extremely excited to be bringing back the Belton Community Festival for its third year in 2026, celebrating the local area and the performers, traders, charities, and groups it offers,” she stated.
Doherty noted that the feedback from last year’s festival was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees praising the experience. One participant remarked that the festival “is fast becoming the biggest event in the Grantham calendar.” Such comments highlight the festival’s growing significance in the community and its potential for continued success.
Community Support and Sponsorship Opportunities
The festival not only serves as a platform for local talent but also relies on sponsorship for its operations. Doherty emphasized that sponsors play a vital role in maintaining the festival’s free access for attendees. The organizing team is actively seeking new sponsors for the 2026 event to ensure its sustainability and growth.
Local businesses and organizations interested in supporting the festival or participating in it can also reach out via the designated email address: [email protected].
Last year’s event featured a diverse array of activities, including live music, craft stalls, and various community groups across the picturesque grounds of Belton Estate. As preparations continue, the festival promises to deliver another exciting celebration of local culture and community spirit in 2026.
