In a surprising turn during the live broadcast of Strictly Come Dancing, a contestant interrupted the show to audition for the hosting role following the announcement that presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will step down at the end of the current series. Tess and Claudia shared the news with fans via a video message on Thursday, marking this series as their last. Tess has been a fixture of Strictly since its inception in 2004, originally co-hosting with Sir Bruce Forsyth before teaming up with Claudia, who began her journey with the show by presenting the spin-off programme, It Takes Two.
