The Traitors Finale Teases Dramatic Cliffhanger Ahead of Reveal

As the highly anticipated series finale of The Traitors approaches, viewers are left hanging in suspense after the latest player to be banished has yet to be revealed. The penultimate episode showcased a gripping turn of events, with faithful contestant Roxy becoming the latest victim of the traitors, leaving only four faithfuls and two traitors in the game. This thrilling episode aired on March 15, 2024, and set the stage for the final showdown.

Typically, players are eliminated through a voting process, but the latest episode introduced unexpected twists. Rachel, one of the traitors, ended up in a tie with faithful James after two rounds of voting. Host Claudia Winkleman introduced the “chest of chance,” informing both players that selecting the chest containing a shield would secure their spot in the finale. This decision followed a dramatic roundtable discussion where faithfuls Faraaz, 22, and Jade, a PhD student, expressed suspicions about Rachel, who has managed to keep a low profile throughout her time on the show.

Rachel, originally selected as a traitor by Winkleman at the start of the series, has navigated the challenges with relative ease. She has faced accusations from fellow contestants, including former traitor Fiona, who was voted off following a tense confrontation. Additionally, Harriet, a former barrister turned author, also accused Rachel before being banished herself.

In the latest round of voting, James was targeted by Jack, a personal trainer from Essex, and traitor Stephen. Notably, Stephen had previously assured Rachel that he would not betray her during discussions. Earlier in the episode, Stephen stirred the pot by casting suspicion on Rachel, expressing his concern that she might turn against him. Despite her departure, Roxy revealed her unexpected support for the traitors, hoping that either Stephen or Rachel would emerge victorious, stating, “I think they’re both amazing people and I think they’ve – hopefully – been faithful and honest throughout the process.”

In a surprising twist, Winkleman disclosed to the remaining contestants that Roxy is the daughter of the first player banished from the show, Judy.
