SimCorp Strengthens APAC Leadership with Key Appointments
SimCorp, a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse Group, has announced two significant appointments to its leadership team in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, effective immediately. Jesper Tyrer will take on the role of head of sales, while Medi Tuku has been appointed as head of Solutions Engineering.
Tyrer joins SimCorp with a wealth of experience in the financial technology sector. He has a proven history of aiding investment firms in scaling their operations through technology. Previously, he spent eight years at BlackRock, where he was the head of APAC at Aladdin Business Development. Additionally, Tyrer has held positions at Bloomberg and has experience as a company founder.
In his new position, Tuku will oversee a team of solution specialists dedicated to delivering comprehensive investment and risk management solutions to both prospective and existing clients. Before joining SimCorp, he served as the head of Pre-Sales for BlackRock Aladdin in the APAC region, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
Both Tyrer and Tuku will be based in Singapore and will report directly to Edward Bee, senior managing director and head of APAC at SimCorp.
Bee expressed enthusiasm about the new appointments, stating, “I’m excited to welcome Jesper and Medi to our APAC leadership team. Both bring extensive experience and a proven track record of driving innovation and delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.” He emphasized that they will be instrumental in accelerating the company’s growth strategy and enhancing client partnerships across the diverse APAC region.
These appointments come at a crucial time as SimCorp aims to expand its footprint in the competitive financial services landscape. With Tyrer and Tuku’s expertise, the company is well-positioned to address the increasing demand for sophisticated investment management solutions in the area.
