Medi Jones-Jackson Takes Helm as Mudiad Meithrin’s Marketing Manager

Medi Jones-Jackson has been appointed as the new Marketing, Communications, and Events Manager for Mudiad Meithrin, an organization focused on promoting Welsh language education and support for families across Wales. Based in Aberystwyth, Jones-Jackson brings over 20 years of extensive marketing experience to this pivotal role.

In her new position, Medi will oversee all aspects of Mudiad Meithrin’s marketing initiatives, events, and communications efforts. Her responsibilities include promoting the organization’s various Welsh language projects and training schemes, which are vital for supporting Welsh-medium childcare and education.

Iola Jones, the Head of Communications and Partnerships at Mudiad Meithrin, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment. “Medi has many years of experience working in marketing, events, and communications for several national organizations across Wales. We are delighted with the appointment and look forward to collaborating with her as she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this central role,” she stated.

Medi’s professional background includes significant roles in both Wales and internationally. She has worked with some of the largest cultural organizations in Wales and has recently been involved in managing promotional projects and events for the Welsh Government in locations such as Japan, the United States, and Dubai. This diverse experience positions her well to lead campaigns that highlight the core work of Mudiad Meithrin as well as various initiatives under its banner.

Reflecting on her new role, Medi remarked, “I am really looking forward to taking on the marketing, events, and communications role at Mudiad Meithrin. This unique national organization plays an invaluable role in Welsh culture by creating new Welsh speakers among young children and families. I am confident that I will proudly undertake to promote all the good work of the Mudiad and I am proud to be a new member of the large Mudiad Meithrin family.”

Originally hailing from the Conwy Valley, Medi now resides on the outskirts of Aberystwyth and is a mother of two. In her spare time, she enjoys writing children’s books and volunteering with the Samaritans. Her book, Genod Gwych a Merched Medrus, received nominations for both Wales’ Book of the Year and a Tir na n’Og award, highlighting her contributions to literature alongside her professional endeavors.

With her appointment, Medi Jones-Jackson is set to play a crucial role in advancing the mission of Mudiad Meithrin, ensuring that Welsh language education continues to flourish and reach families throughout Wales.
