Sharon Osbourne Expresses Gratitude for Fan Support After Ozzy’s Death

Sharon Osbourne has publicly acknowledged the overwhelming support she has received from fans following the death of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne. In her first statement since his passing on July 25, 2023, Sharon expressed her gratitude for the love and kindness shown to her through social media.
Writing on Instagram, Sharon shared, “I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media.” She emphasized the comfort this outpouring of affection has provided during a challenging time. “Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed; in fact, it’s carried me through many nights.”
The post also highlighted a new interest for Sharon and her daughter Kelly: falconry. Accompanying her heartfelt message was a video featuring the duo engaging with birds of prey, including an owl that perched on Sharon’s arm.
Reflecting on this experience, Sharon stated, “Though I’m still finding my footing, I wanted to share some glorious creatures I had the chance to spend an afternoon with. The connection you make with these powerful birds is built entirely on trust and confidence. They’ll choose to perch on you only if they sense you are safe and unafraid of them. It’s a bond I know all too well, and the experience was nothing short of magical.”
In closing her post, Sharon reiterated her appreciation for the support she has received, saying, “I love you all, and I thank you deeply for the otherworldly amount of love you continue to send my way.”
Ozzy Osbourne passed away at home in Buckinghamshire at the age of 76, just 17 days after his farewell performance at Villa Park in Birmingham. His death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from fans and fellow musicians alike, celebrating his contributions to music.
Earlier this week, an all-star supergroup remembered Ozzy during the MTV Music Awards. Notable performances included Yungblud alongside Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, as well as Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt. Together, they performed a medley featuring Ozzy’s solo hits “Crazy Train” and “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” along with the classic Black Sabbath track “Changes.”
Sharon’s heartfelt message and the tributes from the music community reflect the deep impact Ozzy Osbourne had on the industry and his fans. As she navigates this difficult period, the support from her followers continues to play a significant role in her healing process.
