Royal Jordanian Launches Dallas Flights in Strategic Expansion
Royal Jordanian Airlines has announced the launch of its new flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, marking a significant addition to its North American route network. Set to commence on May 10, 2024, this service will establish Dallas as the airline’s seventh destination in North America. This development comes as part of Royal Jordanian’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity between the United States, Canada, and the Middle East.
The Dallas route will be Royal Jordanian’s longest by distance and duration, utilizing the airline’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which has a capacity of 270 seats. The service will operate four times weekly, catering to both business and leisure travelers. In total, Royal Jordanian will offer up to five daily departures to North America, joining existing services to Chicago O’Hare, Detroit, Montreal, New York JFK, Toronto, and Washington Dulles, which began in March 2025.
Expansion Plans and North American Network
The decision to introduce flights to Dallas follows Royal Jordanian’s ongoing growth strategy. The airline’s Chief Executive Officer has projected a fleet expansion of 60% by 2026, with plans to increase the current fleet from 40 to 45 aircraft. This growth is expected to support increasing travel demands, particularly to the Levant and the wider Middle East.
With Dallas included, Royal Jordanian’s North American operations will encompass a total of 29 weekly departures. The airline’s services will cater to a diverse range of travelers, with a focus on connecting passengers traveling from the U.S. to key destinations in the Middle East. Booking data indicates that an average of 545 round-trip passengers traveled daily between Dallas and the Middle East, underscoring the potential demand for the new service.
Flight Schedule and Connectivity
The flights from Amman to Dallas will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with an approximate flight duration of 14 hours and 25 minutes. The return flights from Dallas to Amman will arrive at 20:00 local time, offering connections to the airline’s services to Mumbai that depart shortly after.
Royal Jordanian targets passengers flying from various U.S. cities to Amman, including those from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Houston. This connectivity aims to capture travelers seeking to connect through Dallas on their way to the Middle East.
Overall, the new Dallas service reflects Royal Jordanian’s commitment to expanding its footprint in North America while enhancing travel options for passengers flying to and from the Middle East. The airline’s strategic moves are expected to strengthen its position in a competitive market, as it continues to respond to evolving travel demands.
