The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has filed a request with the Court for Misdemeanors to initiate legal proceedings against a resident identified as Đ.Č.. This action comes after allegations that on January 26, 2026, at approximately 18:30, Đ.Č. made threatening remarks on the social media platform Facebook. The comments were directed at Ivan Vuković, a member of parliament, under a post from the news portal Antena M.

According to the Podgorica prosecutor’s office, Đ.Č. is suspected of violating public order and peace by using derogatory language towards Vuković. The politician had previously called for police intervention after receiving threats on social media. Vuković stated, “’Nothing, goods’ and ‘thief’ are insults that someone involved in politics must endure, especially after I congratulated the closing of a chapter in the EU negotiations.”
