The much-anticipated Novski Derby is set to kick off the seventh round of the EPCG Superliga for women’s volleyball this evening, featuring a showdown between two fierce competitors. The match will see Herceg Novi, the reigning champion and the only unbeaten team in the league, visit Albatros at the SC “Igalo”. Albatros has had a strong season, with only one loss in six matches, making this encounter critical for both teams.

In another exciting matchup scheduled for Saturday, Budva will host Moraca at 19:00. Moraca is coming off a victory against Mediteran, which broke their three-match losing streak. Budva has struggled this season, facing tough opponents and currently holding a record of 1-5.

Just half an hour later, Mediteran will take on Luka Bar at SC “Rea”. Luka Bar has performed admirably, suffering only a narrow loss to Herceg Novi in a five-set thriller. Mediteran, meanwhile, will be aiming to bounce back from three straight defeats after earlier victories against Jedinstvo and Rudar.

The final match of Saturday’s program will feature a critical clash between Jedinstvo and Rudar in Bijelo Polje. Rudar remains the only team without a victory this season, while Jedinstvo has one win and an unplayed match against Budva, making this encounter pivotal for both sides.

On Sunday, Budućnost will face Gimnazijalac after participating in a European match against the Spanish team Aro Rioja in the first round of the Challenge Cup. Following two derby losses to Herceg Novi and Luka Bar, Budućnost has rebounded with three consecutive wins in the league. Gimnazijalac, for its part, has secured two victories in its six matches.

The matchups for the seventh round are as follows:

– Today: Albatros vs. Herceg Novi (19:00)
– Tomorrow: Budva vs. Moraca (19:00), Mediteran vs. Luka Bar (19:30), Jedinstvo vs. Rudar (20:00)
– Sunday: Gimnazijalac vs. Budućnost (19:00)

As the season unfolds, these matches are crucial not only for standings but also for team morale and future performances in the league.
