The situation unfolded after an art teacher observed bruises and bite marks on a student, who disclosed that these injuries were inflicted by Farley.

After the school received the report on December 4, 2023, the allegations were promptly escalated. Farley was taken into custody shortly thereafter. Although he has chosen not to speak to investigators, he now faces multiple charges, including unlawful sexual activity with a minor and offenses against a student by an authority figure.

Details of the Allegations

Investigators revealed that Farley allegedly groomed the student through a shared Google Doc, which served as a platform for their communication. According to the reports, the teenager began exchanging messages with Farley during the previous school year, ultimately transitioning to private discussions over the summer. The document reportedly contained sexually explicit material detailing their encounters and plans to meet privately.

The relationship between Farley and the student reportedly escalated in September, with encounters occurring both in his office and in the classroom. The student reported that their physical interactions began with inappropriate touching and progressed to oral sex and intercourse. She indicated that she visited Farley’s residence twice when his roommate was absent.

Police executed a search warrant at Farley’s home, where they discovered evidence that corroborated the student’s account, including bedding and condom wrappers. Surveillance footage from the school confirmed that Farley and the student were alone in his office together for approximately one hour in early December.

School’s Response and Ongoing Investigation

The Donna Klein Jewish Academy has publicly stated that it is cooperating fully with law enforcement during this “difficult time.” A spokesperson emphasized their commitment to prioritizing the well-being of students, faculty, and families. In light of the allegations, the school has suspended Farley and reported the matter to child welfare services.

As the investigation continues, Farley remains in custody at the Palm Beach County Main Detention Center. He is being held on a bond of $500,000. The school confirmed that he is no longer employed there but refrained from providing further comments as the matter develops.
