Police Seek Information After Woman Followed Home in Wolverhampton

West Midlands Police are appealing for information following an incident in which a woman was followed home by a stranger on a bus in Wolverhampton. The incident occurred on July 6, 2023, at approximately 13:30, when the woman boarded the number 1 bus on Bilston Street.

After getting on the bus behind her, the man disembarked at the same stop and was subsequently seen lingering outside her residence for a considerable period before leaving. Alarmingly, this situation repeated itself the following day, prompting police concerns about the safety of individuals using public transport in the area.

According to the police statement, “We are appealing for information after a woman was followed home by an unknown man in Wolverhampton.” They have released a photograph of the man they wish to identify and encourage anyone who recognizes him to come forward.

The police further stated, “We are asking for anyone who was on the bus that day or catches it regularly to come forward and share any information which might help us identify the man in this image.”
