A manager from Cheltenham, Karen Wala, has achieved international recognition by winning the esteemed Global Ray Kroc Award, an accolade that celebrates the top-performing McDonald’s restaurant managers worldwide. Wala, who has been the business manager at the McDonald’s branch located on Cheltenham High Street since August 2022, was among 392 winners selected from 67 global markets. The award recognizes the top 1% of McDonald’s managers, acknowledging their commitment to the brand, their ability to create outstanding customer experiences, and their adherence to McDonald’s values.

Franchisee Paul Toner, who oversees not only the Cheltenham restaurant but also seven other McDonald’s locations in the Gloucestershire area, expressed immense pride in Wala’s accomplishment.
