Contestants Take Risks and Win Big on ITV’s Limitless Win
Contestants on ITV’s popular game show, Limitless Win, faced a challenging nursery rhyme question that tested their knowledge and risk-taking abilities. The episode aired on February 8, 2024, featuring pairs of players navigating a unique format where every answer corresponds to a number, and any incorrect guess could lead to elimination.
Hosted by the charismatic duo Ant and Dec, the show allows players to climb a never-ending money ladder by answering questions correctly. Each correct answer adds to the number of lives they have, but if they exceed the correct answer by even a single digit, they are immediately out of the game.
In this particular episode, two pairs of contestants participated: Tegan and Paul, a father-daughter duo, and Abbi and Amy, friends and football teammates. Tegan and Paul aimed to secure funds for an early retirement and a new home, while Abbi and Amy had their sights set on travelling the world.
Tegan and Paul started strong, answering four questions accurately and banking 10 lives. Their momentum, however, stumbled when they encountered the nursery rhyme question: “How many magpies need to be seen for gold?” The question referenced the traditional rhyme that states, “One for sorrow, two for joy.” Confused but determined, they took a gamble and answered six, which turned out to be correct. This bold choice propelled them into the next round.
The pair also tackled questions ranging from football trivia to the size of original 1985 Nike Air Jordan trainers, and even topics like Nutella and giraffes. Ultimately, they opted to secure their earnings rather than risk it all on a music-related question, walking away with an impressive £30,000.
Reflecting on their experience, Tegan expressed her excitement: “The memories we will be able to make now will just be amazing.” The episode highlighted not only the thrill of competition but also the personal aspirations that drive the contestants to take risks in pursuit of their dreams.
The nursery rhyme in question, while simple, provided a memorable moment for both the players and the audience, encapsulating the blend of knowledge and chance that defines Limitless Win.
