Boxers from Bijelo Polje Gear Up for Balkan Open Tournament

Boxers from Bijelo Polje are set to compete in the fourth round of the regional Balkan Open tournament on November 4, 2023. This prestigious event, part of the Jordan Mijalkov Memorial Tournament, will take place in Štip, North Macedonia. The team represents the club with a lineup of talented fighters, including cadet Savo Šarčević (under 54 kg) and juniors Omar Bahović (under 60 kg), Tarik Hrapović (under 66 kg), and Vasilije Bugarin (over 80 kg).

Each boxer faces a significant challenge in their respective matches. Šarčević will go head-to-head with Ali Lekpek from Serbia. Bahović is preparing for a duel against Luka Ivanovski from North Macedonia. In another match, Hrapović will compete against Amin Nedžipija, also from North Macedonia, while Bugarin will take on local fighter Bertan Ibraimov.

Coaching and Leadership for the Team

The team will be led by coaches Mugoša Kovačević and Budimir Radošević. They bring a wealth of experience and expertise to prepare the athletes for this competitive setting. Alongside the boxers, team captain Mirko Šarčević will join the delegation. He is scheduled to participate in an international tournament in Niš the following weekend after a lengthy break from competition.
