West Ham Pursues Dual Striker Deal Worth £44 Million for Survival

West Ham United has entered a £44 million transfer strategy aimed at reinforcing its attacking options and avoiding relegation from the Premier League. The club has secured a pivotal £25 million agreement for Lazio striker Taty Castellanos and is close to finalizing a £19 million deal for Pablo, a forward from Gil Vicente.

As West Ham approaches the January transfer window, the urgency to bolster their squad has intensified. With the club fighting to maintain its top-flight status, these potential signings represent a significant investment in their offensive capabilities. Although personal terms with Castellanos, who is 27, are still under negotiation, the club is optimistic about securing his services.

In addition to new strikers, West Ham is eyeing a winger to further enhance their attack. The club has expressed interest in Adama Traore from Fulham, contemplating a short-term deal lasting until the end of the season. Fulham reportedly values Traore at up to £7 million, but discussions regarding a fee remain ongoing.

While West Ham is actively pursuing attacking reinforcements, they have also approached Chelsea regarding a potential loan for Raheem Sterling. The former England international has found himself sidelined at Chelsea following a disappointing loan spell with Arsenal last year. Despite West Ham’s interest in Sterling, sources indicate that he is currently uninterested in another loan move, preferring to secure a more permanent solution.

In a parallel move, West Ham is preparing to offload Luis Guilherme, a 19-year-old winger, to Sporting Lisbon in a deal worth £15 million. Guilherme joined West Ham for £20 million in 2024 but has yet to find the net in his 18 appearances for the club. This transfer could allow West Ham to recoup some of their investment while creating space in their squad for new arrivals.

The January transfer window is a critical period for clubs like West Ham, where strategic signings can significantly impact their fortunes in the league. As they navigate these negotiations, the Hammers remain focused on enhancing their squad to secure their place in the Premier League for the upcoming season.
