Kyler Murray’s availability for the Arizona Cardinals’ upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts is uncertain following a foot injury sustained during the team’s narrow loss to the Tennessee Titans on October 8, 2023. Coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed that Murray will not participate in practice on Wednesday and is regarded as day-to-day as the week progresses.

Murray, who left the game late in the third quarter, briefly exited to the locker room but managed to return for two plays. When asked about the impact of Murray’s mobility on his potential to play on Sunday, Gannon stated, “If he’s healthy enough to play, he’ll play.”

This season, Murray has thrown for a total of 962 yards, completing 110 of 161 passes with six touchdowns and three interceptions. Additionally, he has rushed 29 times for 173 yards and one touchdown.

Should Murray’s injury prevent him from taking the field, Arizona will turn to Jacoby Brissett, who joined the team as a free agent during the offseason. Gannon praised Brissett’s professionalism, emphasizing the importance of preparation. “I know that term gets thrown around, but when you’re in his seat — all our guys — but the quarterback position is the hardest position in sports,” Gannon noted. “He loves to practice, he loves to prepare, he loves to play.”

As the Cardinals prepare for their Week 6 matchup, the focus will remain on Murray’s recovery and whether he can assume his starting role against the Colts. The team is hoping for a swift recovery, given Murray’s pivotal role in their offensive strategy this season.
