Stamford Town Council Offers Free Saluting Dais for Collection
A free saluting dais is available for collection in Stamford, offering a unique opportunity for anyone in need of a platform for ceremonial purposes. The wooden structure measures 6ft by 4ft and stands 1ft high. It can be easily divided into two sections for transport and storage, making it practical for various uses.
Details of the Saluting Dais Offer
The dais features removable posts and a rope rail, enhancing its functionality for events or official ceremonies. This offering comes as a result of a recent clear-out at the cellar beneath Stamford Town Hall, where the saluting dais was deemed surplus to requirements.
Coun Max Sawyer of the Stamford Town Council expressed his sentiments about the dais, stating, “It seemed a pity just to put it in a skip.” The council aims to provide community resources that can be beneficial rather than disposing of them.
Individuals interested in acquiring the dais can contact Max Sawyer directly at 01780 765507 or via email at [email protected]. Collection will take place from Waverley Gardens in Stamford, making it easily accessible for local residents.
The initiative reflects Stamford Town Council’s commitment to reducing waste and promoting community engagement by offering valuable items for free to those who can utilize them.
