Political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has raised significant questions regarding the death of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA). Yiannopoulos alleges that Kirk may still be alive and posits that his funeral was staged. These claims have emerged as conspiracy theories surrounding Kirk’s death intensify, particularly following his assassination in September 2025.

During a recent appearance, Yiannopoulos expressed doubt about the veracity of Kirk’s death, suggesting that his widow, Erika Kirk, may have played a role in faking it. “Do you think there is a possibility they faked his death? Yes,” he stated. He described Erika as “sinister” and indicated that there is a conspiracy involving TPUSA to conceal the truth about her husband’s demise.

Yiannopoulos’s main argument stems from perceived discrepancies in photographs taken during Kirk’s funeral. He highlighted a supposed difference in the size of the hands of the deceased compared to those of Charlie Kirk in wedding photos. “Have you seen the difference in the size of her hands with Charlie’s in their wedding pictures and then compared it to him in his casket? I’m saying that wasn’t Charlie in there. I’m saying there’s something up. There’s something up,” he claimed.

The commentator further asserted that the absence of public sightings of Kirk’s burial serves as evidence that he could still be alive. “I think it’s vanishingly slight. Of course, it’s possible. And the behaviour of some of the Turning Point people makes me wonder,” he said.

Yiannopoulos has a history of animosity with Kirk, citing a past incident where he alleged Kirk spread damaging rumors about him during a peak in his career. “Charlie made up a rumor that I was having s** with children on campuses,” he stated, suggesting that Kirk sought to undermine his reputation and influence in the college speaking circuit.

The speculation surrounding Kirk’s death has gained traction on social media, with various claims being circulated. Jasnoor Singh, writing for Medium, reported on an AI-generated response to inquiries about Kirk’s status, which maintained that “Charlie Kirk is alive and safe.” Similar responses further fuelled conspiracy theories, leading to widespread discussions online.

Kirk was shot and killed during a public speaking event in September 2025, an incident that shocked many within the conservative movement. Video footage of the assassination was widely shared, and Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect, was apprehended at the scene. He currently faces charges of aggravated murder.

Since Kirk’s death, TPUSA has organized multiple public vigils, and his memorial service attracted numerous prominent figures from across the conservative landscape. The official narrative surrounding Kirk’s assassination remains consistent, supported by law enforcement and eyewitness accounts, despite the growing conspiracy theories.

As the discourse surrounding Charlie Kirk’s death continues to evolve, it highlights the intersection of politics and public perception, particularly in the age of social media and rapid information dissemination.
