Family Raises Over £6,000 for Air Ambulance at Scarva Event
A family has successfully raised more than £6,000 for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland during the Royal Black Institution’s annual demonstration and Sham Fight in Scarva. This event, held in August 2023, attracted numerous visitors who contributed generously to the fundraising efforts.
The festive occasion featured traditional activities and showcased the community spirit of the area. Attendees were encouraged to donate, with a portion of the event’s proceeds directly benefiting the air ambulance service. This initiative underscores the vital role that Air Ambulance Northern Ireland plays in emergency medical care.
Community Engagement and Support
The family behind the fundraising initiative expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support they received from the local community and visitors. They highlighted how the contributions will significantly impact the operations of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, which relies heavily on public donations to continue its life-saving services.
In a statement, a family member noted, “We are incredibly thankful for everyone who donated. Their generosity reflects the strong community ties we have here in Scarva.” This sentiment was echoed by many attendees, who recognized the importance of supporting local services that provide immediate care in emergencies.
The event not only provided entertainment but also served as a reminder of the critical services available in Northern Ireland. The funds raised will assist in maintaining the air ambulance fleet, ensuring that it remains operational for those in urgent need.
Looking Ahead
As the Royal Black Institution continues its tradition of charity work through events like the Sham Fight, the family plans to host more fundraising activities in the future. They aim to keep raising awareness about the importance of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland and the essential services it provides to the community.
The success of this year’s initiative highlights the power of community involvement in supporting vital health services. With ongoing support, families in need can continue to rely on Air Ambulance Northern Ireland during critical moments.
