Samsung is set to launch its latest Galaxy smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series, with enticing pre-order deals that will end today. Customers who place their orders by 11:59 PM on March 10, 2024, can receive complimentary tech products valued at up to £449. This promotion follows Samsung’s annual Unpacked event held in San Francisco last month, where the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra were unveiled.

The new smartphones will be available in the UK starting on March 11, 2024. Early buyers can take advantage of a deal from one retailer that includes a free Galaxy Watch8 worth £319 for those ordering the S26 or S26+. Buyers of the S26 Ultra will receive a Galaxy Watch8 Classic valued at £449. Additionally, pre-orders come with double the storage at no extra cost, allowing customers to purchase the 512GB model for the same price as the 256GB version.

Sky Mobile offers monthly plans starting at £30 for the S26, £38 for the S26+, and £44 for the S26 Ultra, each running for 36 months. Customers have the option to switch to a new device after 24 months without incurring additional charges. It’s worth noting that Sky’s plans include a modest 100MB data allowance, prompting many users to consider larger data packages to avoid overages. According to Birmingham Live, Sky has also indicated that its prices “may change” during the contract period.

Alternative pre-order options are available through various retailers. At Mobiles.co.uk, customers can secure a standard S26 for £34.99 per month with a £9 upfront fee, which includes 100GB of data. Three offers a plan at £35.89 per month with a £40 upfront cost for unlimited data, while the S26 Ultra is priced at £46.89 per month with a £50 upfront fee. EE’s pricing is slightly higher, with the S26 available at £47 per month plus a £30 upfront payment for a 125GB data package, providing access to their advanced 5G+ network in select areas.

For those preferring to purchase the devices outright, prices remain consistent across major retailers, including Samsung’s official website and Amazon. The Galaxy S26 series is available in four color options: Cobalt Violet, Black, White, and Sky Blue. Key features include an AMOLED display, the Exynos 2600 processor, accelerated wireless charging, and enhanced AI capabilities. The S26 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, making it the most powerful processor in a Galaxy device to date, and boasts a slim 7.9mm frame.

David Snelling, Technology Editor who attended the Galaxy Unpacked event, highlighted a standout feature of the S26 Ultra: its Privacy Display. This innovative screen technology prevents unauthorized viewers from seeing content when viewed at an angle. Snelling remarked, “The Galaxy S26 Ultra has had a massive speed upgrade and comes with a range of new colors, but the one update everyone is talking about is its Privacy Display. This feature allows the screen’s pixels to shift dynamically, keeping it visible to the user but dimming it for anyone else nearby.”

While Snelling praised the Privacy Display, he also noted some drawbacks, stating, “It’s certainly useful, but having tested it thoroughly, I wouldn’t keep this function activated permanently. The moment it is turned on, the stunning 6.9″ AMOLED screen appears muted, making the visual experience less premium.” Despite its shortcomings, he concluded that the Galaxy S26 Ultra is an “incredible device” that offers exceptional speed, battery life, and camera quality, along with the innovative S Pen.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is now available for pre-order through various channels, including Sky Mobile, Three, EE, Samsung, and Amazon. Those interested in the latest technology and premium features should act quickly, as these pre-order offers end today.
