Queen Camilla was seen indulging in a shopping outing in the Scottish village of Ballater, accompanied by her daughter, Laura Lopes, and her granddaughter, Eliza Lopes, aged 17. The trio enjoyed a leisurely afternoon exploring local shops, not far from the royal family’s Highland residence, Balmoral Castle, where the King and Queen are currently spending their summer.

During the outing, the 78-year-old Queen looked stylish in a pink and green floral shirt dress, complemented by an emerald green cardigan and taupe suede wedges. Her accessories included gold hoop earrings and a personalized pendant featuring the initials of her five grandchildren: Lola and Freddy Parker Bowles, along with Eliza and her twin brothers, Gus and Louis Lopes.

Camilla’s children from her first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes, have both played prominent roles in her family life. Notably, her three grandsons served as Pages of Honour at the coronation of King Charles III, which took place at Westminster Abbey in May 2023. The Queen’s gown for the occasion featured the names of all five grandchildren embroidered in gold thread, symbolizing her close family ties.

Amidst the serene Highland landscape, King Charles was officially welcomed to Balmoral Castle during a traditional ceremony on Monday. The event included a guard of honour and an appearance by Cpl Cruachan IV, the playful Shetland pony serving as the mascot of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Over the coming weeks, King Charles, aged 76, is expected to host additional family members at his Scottish retreat, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children. This period of family gathering in the Highlands reflects the royal family’s commitment to maintaining traditions and family connections during their summer holidays.

The picturesque setting of Ballater and the activities of the royal family serve as a reminder of their engagement with both public life and personal leisure, blending royal duties with cherished family moments.
