Prince George Approaches Major Milestone as School Year Starts
Prince George, the second-in-line to the British throne, is approaching a significant childhood milestone as he prepares to enter his final year at Lambrook School. The return to school, which will take place on September 3, is expected to be an emotional time for both Prince William and Princess Kate as they navigate this transition with their oldest child.
Currently, the family is enjoying the summer holidays together, cherishing quality time before the school runs commence. Prince George, aged 12, along with his siblings Princess Charlotte, aged 10, and Prince Louis, aged 7, have all attended Lambrook School since September 2022. As the new academic year begins, George will embark on an important journey, marking the end of his time at the school.
The upcoming school year signifies a major change for George, who has grown accustomed to attending classes alongside his siblings. After this term, he will be transitioning to a new educational institution, a move that will undoubtedly alter the dynamics among the siblings, particularly as they have shared this experience together.
While Kensington Palace has not officially confirmed George’s next school, reports suggest that he is likely to attend Eton College. This prestigious boarding school, located near the family’s home in Windsor, has a rich history and was also attended by Prince William. Sources indicate that a boarding house has already been allocated to Prince George, signalling preparations for his transition.
In addition to Eton, other educational options were reportedly considered, including Princess Kate’s former institution, Marlborough College. Unlike Eton, Marlborough is not a boys-only school, offering a different environment that may have appealed to the royal family.
As the start of the new term approaches, the family and observers alike await confirmation from Kensington Palace regarding Prince George’s educational future. The choices made during this pivotal moment will not only impact George but may also shape the paths of his younger siblings as they look forward to their own educational journeys.
