Planned Power Outages Affect Multiple Municipalities in Montenegro

Residents in several municipalities across Montenegro will experience planned power outages on February 11, 2024, due to network maintenance work announced by the electric utility company, Cedis. The outages are scheduled to take place during various time slots throughout the day, affecting numerous neighborhoods and locations.

The outages in Podgorica are set to occur from 08:00 to 15:00. Areas impacted include buildings behind the Leonardo restaurant opposite the Technical School, the pharmaceutical area around the school, Miletine Njive, and parts of Ljeskopoljska Street. Additionally, neighborhoods behind the Sutjeska School and a section of Bera will also be affected.

In the Tuzi region, power will be unavailable from 08:00 to 15:00, impacting residents in Akšabanovići, Vulevići, and parts of Gornji and Donji Milješ, among others. This extensive maintenance work aims to enhance the quality and safety of electricity supply across the affected areas.

The Danilovgrad district will see outages from 08:00 to 15:00Bar, power cuts will occur from 09:00 to 12:00, affecting locations such as Ulica Kraljice Jelene Anžujjske and nearby residential buildings.

In Ulcinj, residents can expect outages from 08:30 to 15:00 in the Đerana neighborhood, while a shorter outage from 09:00 to 12:00 will affect the Kolomza area. The situation is similar in Tivat, where power will be off from 08:00 to 11:00 in Kava 1 and from 08:00 to 13:00 in Marići.

The city of Herceg Novi will witness outages on the same day, with power cuts scheduled from 09:30 to 10:30 in Bijela and surrounding areas, followed by additional outages from 11:00 to 13:00 in Baošići and Đenovići.

Other municipalities, including Berane, Andrijevica, Gusinje, and Rožaje, will also face outages at various times. The scheduled interruptions range from 09:00 to 16:00 in places like Kolasin and Mojkovac to earlier time slots in Pljevlja and Plužine.

Authorities have stated that all planned outages are contingent on weather conditions. In case of adverse weather, maintenance work may be postponed. Cedis emphasizes that these necessary works are aimed at providing a more reliable and secure electricity supply in the future.

Residents are advised to prepare accordingly and note the specific times for their respective areas to minimize inconvenience during the outages.
