Celebrated Architect Sir Nicholas Grimshaw Passes Away at 85

Sir Nicholas Grimshaw, renowned for his innovative architectural designs, has passed away at the age of 85. The announcement came on Monday afternoon from his firm, Grimshaw, which he established in 1980. His legacy includes the iconic Eden Project in Cornwall, a major ecological centre celebrated for its distinctive bubble-like structures.

Grimshaw’s architectural contributions extended beyond the Eden Project. He designed the British Pavilion for the Seville Expo 1992 and the glass-and-steel International Terminal at Waterloo in London, which was awarded the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Building of the Year Award in 1994.
