Border Police Seize Motorcycle Over Suspicious VIN Number

The border police at the Sukobin – Murićani crossing have seized a BMW motorcycle belonging to an Albanian citizen, identified as M.Z., due to suspicions regarding its vehicle identification number (VIN). The motorcycle was taken for forensic examination after officials suspected that the displayed chassis number did not correspond with the legitimate number.

During a rigorous inspection upon entry into the country, police officers noticed discrepancies that raised concerns about potential manipulation of the motorcycle’s identification details. A statement from the Police Administration highlighted that this incident occurred as part of standard security measures to ensure the integrity of vehicles entering the country.

Following the seizure, the incident was reported to the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Ulcinj. The prosecutor has instructed that the motorcycle be held temporarily, while further forensic analysis is conducted at the Forensic Center of the Police Administration located in Danilovgrad. The prosecutor will determine any potential criminal charges after the results of the examination are available.
