Jessie J Postpones Tour Following Breast Cancer Surgery Update

Jessie J, the British singer-songwriter, announced the postponement of her upcoming tour due to ongoing health concerns related to her recent breast cancer diagnosis. In a heartfelt video shared on social media, the artist, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, explained that she requires a second surgery, which conflicts with the tour schedule.
In June 2025, Jessie J revealed she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, specifically ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Following her initial surgery eight weeks ago, she received the all-clear but must now undergo further treatment before the end of the year. This additional procedure necessitated the cancellation of her shows, originally set for October 2025 in the UK and Europe, which have now been rescheduled for April 2026.
Tour Adjustments and Future Plans
In her video update, Jessie expressed her feelings candidly. “I’m living in the moment. I’m embracing the moment, and I’m flowing with the vibes,” she said. While acknowledging her disappointment, she emphasized the need for her health to take priority, stating, “I need to be better. I need to be healed.”
While the UK and European leg of the tour has been postponed, the artist also announced the cancellation of the US dates for the time being. “I haven’t been able to finesse the US dates yet, so unfortunately, that will be cancelled,” she explained. Jessie J is committed to finding suitable venues and dates for the US tour, but acknowledges the complexities involved due to existing commitments and other tours scheduled for next year.
The singer’s diagnosis, which involved a large tumor measuring approximately 5 cm, led to a full mastectomy. Although she avoided chemotherapy and radiotherapy due to her early diagnosis, Jessie remains pragmatic about her health. In a previous interview, she noted that there is a 50% chance of the cancer returning, a statistic she takes seriously as she navigates her recovery.
Looking Ahead: New Music and Fan Engagement
Despite the challenges, Jessie J is eager to keep her fans engaged with new music. She announced that her latest single, “Believe in Magic,” will be released soon, providing a silver lining to her postponement announcement. “I’m trying to do my best. I’m trying to compartmentalise all the different things that are happening in my life,” she said, adding, “I know you guys probably knew this was coming.”
Fans have expressed overwhelming support for Jessie during this difficult time. Many have shared messages of encouragement, recognizing her commitment to her health and her dedication to returning to the stage. As she prepares for her surgeries, Jessie J remains focused on healing and looks forward to resuming her tour in April 2026.
For fans eagerly awaiting updates, Jessie J reassured them that she is doing everything possible to ensure her return, stating, “So yes, April 2026 I’ll be back out on the road for the UK and European shows, and the US dates will be announced as soon as we can find time.”
The singer’s journey resonates with many, highlighting the importance of health and well-being in the face of adversity. As she continues to share her story, Jessie J inspires her followers to embrace their own challenges with resilience and optimism.
