Europa Road Enhances Global Healthcare with Timely Deliveries
Europa Road is making significant strides in global healthcare by delivering essential medical testing kits. These kits, crucial for diagnosing various health conditions, are distributed to clinics across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the UK. As a part of Europa Worldwide Group, one of Britain’s largest independent logistics providers, Europa Road supports a medical technology company specializing in women’s health.
The logistics operator has been shipping these medical testing kits for nearly a year, utilizing their Delivered at Place (DAP) service. This approach allows the customer to clear customs on-site at facilities in the UK and Belgium, ensuring efficient drop-offs and reliable service. Due to the urgent nature of these shipments, Europa Road often fulfills next-day deliveries, leveraging a network of local hauliers alongside its own fleet of trucks.
Each week, Europa Road ships between 600 and 2,000 individual testing kits, which are transported to warehouses in Northampton and Belgium. From these locations, the kits are then distributed to clinics in the UK and Europe, extending as far as Africa and Asia.
Rising Demand for Self-Testing Kits
The self-testing market is poised for substantial growth, with a predicted Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 8.4% globally from 2025 to 2030. In the UK, this growth is largely fueled by increased health awareness and initiatives from the National Health Service (NHS) that promote early diagnosis and self-monitoring. The Covid-19 pandemic has acted as a catalyst, underscoring the need for accessible and rapid testing options.
With the pharmaceutical industry facing challenges such as complex regulations and inventory management, Europa Road has addressed these issues by employing ambient and temperature-controlled vehicles. Their on-site customs clearance process ensures timely deliveries, keeping the kits in optimal condition to meet the growing demand.
Ben Sindel, the Manchester branch manager, emphasized the importance of their services: “Our customers support trade with key EU markets, particularly Germany, France, and the Netherlands. It is our role to ensure that dedicated warehouses are stocked with the correct volume of these essential kits by providing a ‘next day’ service.” He added that their expertise in managing time-sensitive transport allows for prompt diagnosis and treatment.
Commitment to Efficiency and Service
A representative from the medical technology company expressed satisfaction with Europa Road’s services, stating, “The service has been fantastic so far, we are really grateful for Europa’s speedy communication and support.”
The Manchester team at Europa Road does not limit its support to healthcare; they also assist clients across various industries, including textiles, household consumables, and building materials. As a market leader in UK-EU distribution, Europa Road handles more than double the volume of its nearest competitor, ensuring hassle-free European road freight services for every consignment size.
In today’s post-Brexit landscape, Europa Road remains committed to providing efficient, cost-effective, and seamless movement of goods between Europe and the UK. Adrian Redmile, branch and sales director at Europa Worldwide Group, remarked on the significance of their operations: “We recognize the importance of driving operations forward and contributing to the economy. I’m delighted to see our Manchester team is supporting the healthcare industry by transporting medical testing kits with a timely and potentially life-saving service.”
