SNL Parodies MrBeast in Hilarious ‘Beauty and MrBeast’ Sketch
On November 9, 2023, the popular late-night show Saturday Night Live (SNL) featured a parody of YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast. The skit, titled “Beauty and MrBeast,” was part of an episode hosted by Nikki Glaser. In this comedic take on Disney’s classic Beauty and the Beast, Glaser played Belle, while Ben Marshall from the group Please Don’t Destroy took on the role of MrBeast.
The four-minute sketch humorously reinterprets the familiar narrative. Instead of breaking a curse, the plot centers on MrBeast imprisoning Belle’s father for the chance to win over $300,000. The parody cleverly incorporates elements of Donaldson’s trademark challenge videos, highlighting his extravagant cash giveaways and elaborate stunts, all while playfully adapting several of the original film’s songs.
Social Media Reaction and MrBeast’s Response
Following the airing of the sketch, it quickly gained traction on social media, with viewers praising the witty writing and Marshall’s accurate portrayal of MrBeast. The comedic take resonated with audiences, drawing attention to Donaldson’s significant influence in the realm of online entertainment.
In response to the parody, MrBeast expressed his amusement. Speaking to the outlet Dexerto, he shared, “I didn’t know they were gonna talk about me but the second it aired my phone blew up haha. Thought it was funny.” As one of the most recognizable figures on YouTube, boasting over 250 million subscribers across his channels, Donaldson has become a staple in pop culture, often finding himself the subject of humor and parody.
This latest sketch underscores MrBeast’s impact on entertainment, as his philanthropic endeavors and engaging challenge videos have made him a household name. His ability to connect with audiences has only intensified his popularity, making him a fitting target for late-night comedy.
As MrBeast continues to dominate the YouTube landscape, his presence in mainstream media is likely to expand, resulting in more parodies and references in the future. The intersection of his philanthropic missions and comedic interpretations highlights the evolving nature of entertainment in the digital age.
