Robert Plant, the legendary frontman of Led Zeppelin, has confirmed two highly anticipated concerts in Scotland as part of his upcoming tour. The 77-year-old rock icon will perform at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on December 17, 2025, followed by a show at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on December 18, 2025. These performances coincide with the release of his new album and are part of a broader 10-date UK tour with his band, Saving Grace.

Formed in 2019, Saving Grace features a blend of both seasoned musicians and fresh talent. The lineup includes Suzi Dian on vocals, Oli Jefferson on percussion, along with industry veterans Tony Kelsey (mandolin, baritone and acoustic guitar) and Matt Worley (banjo, cuatro, and various guitars). Fans can expect an energetic and diverse set as Plant returns to the stage, bringing with him a mix of classic hits and new material.

Tickets for the shows will be available starting at 10 a.m. on September 18, 2025, and are expected to sell quickly due to Plant’s enduring popularity.

Exciting Cultural Events in Glasgow

In addition to Plant’s concerts, Glasgow will also host the acclaimed musical Matilda The Musical, which is set to take the stage at the Theatre Royal from November 18 to December 5, 2026. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company, the show is based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl and follows the story of a remarkable girl who uses her imagination and intelligence to change her destiny.

The production has garnered international acclaim, having been viewed by over 12 million people in more than 100 cities worldwide. Since its debut in 2010 at The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, it has received over 100 awards, making it a standout in contemporary theatre.

The cast for the Glasgow production features Richard Hurst as Miss Trunchbull, Tessa Kadler as Matilda’s supportive teacher Miss Honey, and Adam Stafford and Rebecca Thornhill as Matilda’s parents. After its run in Glasgow, the musical will also travel to Edinburgh in the Spring of 2026, continuing its successful tour across the UK and Ireland.

With Robert Plant and Matilda The Musical both set to entertain audiences, Glasgow is poised for an exciting cultural season, drawing in music and theatre lovers from across the region.
