Fans Declare ‘Nobody Wants This’ the Worst Netflix Show of 2025
Netflix viewers have voiced their displeasure over what they consider the most disappointing show of 2025. In a discussion on Reddit, fans shared their thoughts on the “worst/most disappointing Netflix shows,” with many identifying the romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This as the leading contender for this dubious title.
The show’s second season premiered in October 2025, following the success of its first season, which captivated both viewers and critics alike. In the initial season, audiences were introduced to the characters of Joanne, portrayed by Kristen Bell, and rabbi Noah, played by Adam Brody. Their unconventional romance, set against their differing life philosophies, garnered an impressive 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics.
Despite its strong debut, the second season has faced considerable backlash. Viewers claim that the latest episodes lack originality and fail to expand upon the compelling narrative established in the first season. One Reddit user expressed their discontent, stating, “I loved S1 [of Nobody Wants This] so much. S2 just repeated the same storyline.” Another user echoed similar frustrations, declaring, “S2 was unwatchable. Nobody wants a S3!”
The ratings reflect this growing dissatisfaction. While critics maintained a more forgiving stance with a 79% rating for the second season, the audience score plummeted to just 53%. This decline has affected the show’s overall critical score, bringing it down to 87%, still notable but indicative of the shifting viewer sentiment.
Many fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment. One subscriber remarked, “I was really bummed about it. Pushed through 3 episodes and gave up. Season 1 was fantastic. […] What a shame.” Another viewer lamented, “Agreed, S2 sucked! Joanne was insufferable.”
Despite the negative feedback, Nobody Wants This is set to return for a third season next year. The upcoming episodes will need to address the criticisms to win back the audience’s favor and recapture the charm that made the first season a success.
As the series continues to stream on Netflix, viewers await to see if the creators can turn the tide and restore the show’s reputation in an increasingly competitive landscape of original programming.
