Face Your Fears: Thorpe Park Unveils Thrilling Halloween Scares
This autumn, Thorpe Park is transforming into a terrifying wonderland with its annual Fright Nights event, featuring new attractions and spine-chilling experiences. Running on select dates until November 2, 2023, the event promises to deliver thrills and scares for visitors of all ages.
The park has introduced two new scare zones: Pergatory Town, where lost souls wander the streets after dark, and Creature Campus, where unsuspecting students encounter horrifying monsters. These immersive areas convert the theme park into a haunted labyrinth filled with ghouls, demons, and supernatural beings, offering a unique blend of fright and entertainment.
As guests explore the park, they will encounter a variety of characters, including old Hollywood vampires, bloody brides, and demented scarecrows. The actors engage with visitors, creating an interactive experience that heightens the thrill. For those who prefer a less intense experience, Thorpe Park offers a No Scare Lanyard available at Guest Services, allowing guests to bypass the frightful interactions.
In addition to the scare zones, visitors can enjoy theatrical performances at Lucifer’s Lair. The Lord of Darkness and his minions present hair-raising shows throughout the night, featuring live rock bands, captivating dancers, and astonishing fire-eaters. These performances add an electrifying atmosphere to the overall experience, ensuring entertainment for attendees.
For thrill-seekers, the park’s renowned rollercoasters take on a different vibe under the night sky. The Hyperia, touted as the UK’s tallest, fastest, and most weightless rollercoaster, stands out with its eerie blood-red lighting. This ride, previously thrilling in daylight, offers an even more exhilarating experience at night. Other popular attractions like Nemesis Inferno, Stealth, The Swarm, and Colossus also feature shorter queues, making it an ideal time to experience these rides.
While some may shy away from the indoor mazes, there are four haunted houses available for those daring enough to enter. Attractions such as Survival Games and DeadBeat promise to challenge even the bravest of visitors.
Guests can purchase tickets online for a night filled with jumps, laughs, and scares at Thorpe Park. As a bonus, admission does not include access to the scare mazes, which require separate bookings. There are also options to upgrade tickets for a VIP tour and merchandise bundle, enhancing the experience.
Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights event is an exciting opportunity for those looking to embrace the spirit of Halloween while enjoying thrilling rides and captivating shows. For more information and to book tickets, visit the Thorpe Park website.
