Contestants Take Bold Risks for Cash on ITV’s Limitless Win
A recent episode of ITV’s game show, Limitless Win, featured contestants taking calculated risks as they navigated a series of challenging questions for a chance to win substantial cash prizes. The show, hosted by popular duo Ant and Dec, requires players to answer questions where each response is a number. A misstep, answering just one digit over the correct number, leads to immediate elimination.
The episode aired on February 8, 2024, and introduced two pairs of contestants. First up were Tegan and Paul, a father and daughter team aiming for early retirement and a new home. They were followed by football teammates Abbi and Amy, who shared aspirations of traveling the globe. As the contestants climbed the money ladder, viewers witnessed their determination and strategy unfold.
Tegan and Paul started strong, successfully answering four questions in a row and banking ten lives. However, they faced a moment of uncertainty with a question related to a popular nursery rhyme. The query asked, “How many magpies need to be seen for gold?” referencing the well-known rhyme: “One for sorrow, two for joy…” Despite their initial hesitation, the duo made the bold decision to answer with the number six.
Their gamble paid off, allowing them to advance to the next round. Throughout the episode, the pair tackled a variety of topics, including football, the original 1985 Nike Air Jordan trainers, Nutella, and giraffes. Ultimately, Tegan and Paul walked away with a total of £30,000, choosing not to risk their winnings on a music-related question.
Reflecting on their experience, Tegan expressed their excitement, stating, “The memories we will be able to make now will just be amazing.” The sense of adventure and fun was palpable as they celebrated their success on the show.
The nursery rhyme that caused the stir, which has entertained generations, includes lines that many may recognize:
“One for sorrow, two for joy,
Three for a girl, four for a boy,
Five for silver, six for gold,
Seven for a secret never to be told,
Eight for a wish, nine for a kiss,
Ten a surprise you should be careful not to miss.”
As the contestants continue to test their knowledge and instincts on Limitless Win, viewers are left eagerly anticipating how future players will fare against the game’s unique challenges.
