Charlotte Chilton, known for her appearance on the BBC reality series The Traitors, has been hospitalized for brain surgery as she navigates a challenging paternity dispute regarding her daughter, Penelope. The 32-year-old reality star shared her experience from her hospital bed, revealing her battle with trigeminal neuralgia, a chronic pain condition that causes severe facial pain.

Chilton, who reached the finale of the show’s second series in 2024, posted an update on social media, expressing her apprehension about undergoing surgery. She stated, “As many of you know, I have tried to raise awareness of trigeminal neuralgia. I have unfortunately found myself back in hospital with a terrible attack, which has resulted in me needing another neurosurgery to manage it.” She described feeling “daunted” but hopeful for long-term relief.

Health Struggles and Family Support

Following a significant pain episode, Chilton was rushed to the A&E department at QE Hospital. She praised the medical team for their care and shared, “For my TN followers, keep fighting to find the right team to support you. I’m so grateful for my family and friends who have supported me through this hellish week! Wish me luck and see you on the other side!”

Chilton’s health concerns come during a tumultuous period in her personal life. She is embroiled in a paternity battle with YouTuber Conor Maynard, 33, who she claims is the father of Penelope. Despite the pair taking a DNA test this summer, the results indicated that Maynard is not the father, a conclusion that has left Chilton adamant in her fight for the truth.

Paternity Dispute Intensifies

Following the initial test results, representatives for Chilton released a statement, emphasizing her commitment to uncovering the truth about Penelope’s paternity. “Charlotte will now take time to process, heal, and reflect, and when she is ready, she will finally share her story in full,” the statement read.

Despite the DNA test results, Chilton remains firm in her belief that Maynard is the biological father. She told The Sun, “I will prove that Conor is the father of my daughter Penelope – despite two paternity tests saying he isn’t.” Chilton claims that she has encountered numerous accounts from others who have faced similar discrepancies with DNA testing.

In response to the controversy, Maynard confirmed on social media that the second test also concluded he is not Penelope’s father. He stated, “This has been difficult for me and my family, and I’m so grateful for everyone’s support. I’m glad we can now finally draw a line under this.” He emphasized that the tests were conducted at a Ministry of Justice accredited facility chosen by Chilton.

Adding further complexity to the situation, Jonny Holloway, a co-star from The Traitors, has come forward claiming he also had a relationship with Chilton around the same time she conceived Penelope. However, Chilton has denied these allegations and reportedly changed her mind about a DNA test with Holloway, further clouding the situation.

As the story develops, Chilton’s representatives have been contacted for further comment. The ongoing dispute highlights the personal challenges she faces while dealing with significant health issues. The public continues to express concern for Chilton as she balances her health and personal life amid this ongoing saga.
