The new pop-up shop by Women’s Aid ABCLN has officially opened in Antrim, providing an exciting opportunity for the community to shop sustainably while supporting a vital local cause. Located at Grace House on Fountain Street, the shop features a selection of quality new and nearly new women’s clothing, accessories, books, and other unique items.

At the launch, Gillian Creevy, CEO of Women’s Aid ABCLN, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative. “We are thrilled to be opening this new shop in the heart of Antrim,” she stated. “It is a wonderful opportunity for the community to support our work with women and children, shop sustainably, purchase some beautiful brands, and help transform lives.”

Supporting Women and Children in Need

The pop-up shop aims not only to provide a unique retail experience but also to serve as a safe space for women seeking information and support. Already generating excitement with its striking window displays and new fixtures, the shop has quickly become a focal point for local shoppers. “The enthusiasm we have received has been incredible, and we look forward to welcoming everyone through our doors,” Creevy added.

Every purchase contributes directly to sustaining Women’s Aid services for women and children experiencing domestic abuse in the Antrim area. This initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness and resources for those in need.

Noreen McClelland, a Women’s Aid Ambassador and former councillor, highlighted her support for the project. “I am delighted to be part of this exciting new shopping experience for women in Antrim. Having been involved with the organization for many years, I know firsthand the incredible work Women’s Aid does in our local community,” she remarked. McClelland also expressed her eagerness to volunteer at the shop, encouraging others to join her in supporting this impactful cause.

Call for Volunteers

Volunteers are crucial for the shop’s success and sustainability. McClelland emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, “If you would like to help out in the shop and volunteer for a few hours each week, we would love to hear from you. Volunteering is a deeply rewarding way to give back and help Women’s Aid provide life-changing support for women and children.”
